The Case of Fr. Nicholas Sheehy: Priest – Patriot – Martyr
A new 250 page hardcover book on Fr. Nicholas Sheehy has just been published by local historian Ed O’Riordan.

Fr. Sheehy was parish priest of Shanrahan, Ballysheehan, Templetenny. (Clogheen- Burncourt – Ballyporeen). He was executed in 1766. The book presents the research of Rev. William P. Burke and Dr. Richard Madden as well as details of Fr. Sheehy’s expulsion from the Irish College in Salamanca in 1751.
