Vee Valley Cycle Challenge – March 30th 2014

South Tipperary Cycling Club will hold a cycle to raise funds for a new Hospice Room at Clogheen Hospital. The cycle, to be held on Sunday March 30th 2014 will start at Clogheen Community Centre with registration from 8.30am to 9.30am. Entry is €25 or €15, depending on which route you are riding.

On Your Bike to Bally – May 5th

On Sunday May 5th Ballyporeen GAA will hold a Fundraising Cycle in Ballyporeen. There are 80Km, 37Km and 11Km routes – so enough variety to suit cyclists of all abilities. The Cycle starts from the GAA field in Ballyporeen at 11.30am.

Registration is €20 and the price includes a BBQ and refreshments. Family discounts are available.

South Tipp Cycle Club

The committee for the newly formed South Tipp Cycle Club would like to invite anyone interested in joining the club to attend a meeting on Monday October 29th at 8pm in Clogheen Community Centre. Membership fees for the year is: Adults=€50, Juniors=€20.

Knockmealdown Active Cycle May 6th, 2012

Knockmealdown Active will hold a tour of the Knockmealdown Mountains Cycle on Saturday May 6th, 2012 (Details of the 2013 Cycle are available here). 

The route is 90km starting in Ardfinnan and taking in the towns of Clogheen, Ballyporeen, Kilworth, Ballyduff, Lismore, Cappoquin, Newcastle, Goatenbridge and back to Ardfinnan. Further route details and directions for SatNav are available on the Garmin site here.

Registration is at Ardfinnan Community Hall (in the middle of the town, beside the church across from the green) from 9am. The cycle starts at 10am sharp.

You can find accommodation at a number of local establishments including Kilmaneen Farmhouse  in Newcastle and the Hermitage House  in Clogheen.

Knockmealdown Active Cycle – May 6th 2012

The Knockmealdown Active group will have a cycle tour of the Knockmealdowns on May 6th 2012.

The route pictured above, which is just over 90km long, will start in Ardfinnan, taking in the towns of Clogheen, Ballyporeen, Kilworth, Ballyduff, Lismore, Cappoquin, Newcastle, Goatenbridge and back to Ardfinnan. Further route details and directions are available here.
