Clogheen August Bank Holiday Festival 2015 – Wednesday July 29th to Sunday August 2nd
The annual Bank Holiday Festival weekend kicks off on Wednesday July 29th with a €10 Card Game in St Paul’s Community Centre at 8.30pm.
On Thursday July 30th the annual 5km road race/fun run takes place with registration at Community Hall from 6.30pm, race starts at 8pm – see poster below.
Friday 31st sees the first Jumbo Games Night at St. Pauls’ Community Centre at 7pm.
Saturday August 1st there will be a Magical Duck Pond event at Kildanogue Duck Ponds on the Goatenbridge/Newcastle road from Clogheen. Adults €5, kids free – starts at 1pm.
Community Walk and Picnic; Loughglen Bridge via Forest trail to Kildanogue Duck Pond, 1pm register at Community Hall, Bus provided for 1hr walk (best for over 8 years). Storytelling and bring your own picnic. 2pm register at Community Hall, bus provided for storytelling and picnic area.
National Sheep Racing Finals at 7.30pm at Community hall.
On Sunday August 2nd we will have the traditional Family Gala Day, adults €5, kids free starting at 2pm at Fr Sheehys GAA field. The activities will include under age matches, races, obstacle course, bouncy castles, games and BBQ.
