Death of Mary English, Barrack Hill, Clogheen
The death has occurred of Mary English, Barrack Hill, Clogheen on Tuesday evening, June 9th 2015. Mary, Mareen and Aunty Mame as she was affectionately known was a great person, always there to give a helping hand when needed. She was an avid Bridge and 25/45 card player.
Mary was formally from Carrigmore, Clogheen and came to live in Barrack Hill over 20 years ago. She took to life in the town and was a great neighbour and friend to many in the village.
Mary was the last surviving member of the English family, predeceased by her brothers Jack, Ned and Tom, sisters Eleanor, Nancy and Alice. Mary enjoyed wonderful health in a long and fulfilled life. She died in Clogheen Hospital following a short illness. To her nieces, nephews and her many many friends we offer our deepest sympathies. May she rest in peace.

English (Barrack Hill, Clogheen and formerly of Carrigmore, Clogheen, Co. Tipperary) June 9th 2015. Peacefully at St. Theresa’s Hospital Clogheen. Mary deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grand-nieces, great-grand-nephew, relatives and a large circle of loyal friends.
Rest in Peace
Reposing at St Theresa’s Hospital, Clogheen on Thursday June 11th from 5.30pm. Removal at 7.30pm to St Mary’s Church, Clogheen. Requiem Mass on Saturday June 13th at 11am. Burial afterwards in Shanrahan Cemetery.
